About the writer

Moriyah’s love for stories and storytelling began when she was saved by Jesus and became a Christian. Since then her love for stories has only grown. It began with the Bible and all her stories go back to that one book that changed her entire life forever.

Moriyah is a Christian, storyteller, baker, coffee & tea enthusiast, and lover of stories. She grew up in a Christian home all her life with a wonderful family who are extremely supportive of her and her siblings' dreams and passions.

She lives in the forest surrounded by evergreens as far as the eye can see up in the mountains where the summers are shady and most pleasant and the winters are a wonderland of white blankets of snow. When she isn’t writing and dreaming up stories, she is reading (or listening) to books, dressing up in floaty dresses & knit sweaters, writing letters, discussing the Bible, or working on her podcast.

Moriyah loves to tell stories that touch the heart, move you internally, spread light for God, and reveal Jesus in the pages. Her hope is to write stories that can bring light and help her readers.

So step through the wardrobe and enter her land of stories.

…stories coming soon!

The heart of The Book Keeper’s Library is to be a lighthouse in a sea of endless stories and darkness.

My name is Moriyah and for over 10 years I have been on a hunt of reading and researching books that are safe and clean for children and teenagers alike. I want to recommend to you books that are safe and a joy to read. Books that inspire, have role models, are morally sound, are filled with wonderful storytelling and adventures.

I love stories and storytelling. I truly hope I can help you on this journey of finding good books and wonderful storytellers.

Think of this publication of book recommendations—this library—as a lighthouse and I am its keeper (hence the name).

A lighthouse is defined in the dictionary as: “a tower or other structure containing a beacon light to warn or guide ships at sea.”

I want this publication to be a beacon of light to guide you on your journey through books. I want to give you direction and steer you free from books with dangerous content that you would like to avoid.

I am a Christian and as such my faith does impact what I read and what I believe to be right or wrong for me to read. Throughout this search we will be looking to find the gospel through stories.

The books I recommend to you here will be books I truly loved and that I believe are safe to read. If I have a note on content then I’ll be sure to warn you (mainly this goes for teen and older readers).

I encourage you to pray along this journey. Ask for the Holy Spirit to guide you and help you along your way. He has helped me so much along this journey. I believe the Holy Spirit can and will come alongside you on this journey. He can nudge you in the right direction (at least this is what He has done for me).

I hope this will be a helpful resource and be a light for you and your family! Feel free to comment or message me with any questions or book ideas.

Yours truly, Moriyah (the book keeper)

Welcome to my cozy corner of the world. I’m a Christian, children’s book writer and tea enthusiast. Even in my twenties I look through every wardrobe for Narnia and long to be an author like Jo March.
